Lipo 360-3D Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about Lipo 360-3D set of Body Contouring procedures? We’ve got answers!
Here are some common questions to help you understand the treatment better.
What is Lipo 360–3D?
Lipo 360–3D is a package of body contouring procedures that removes fat around the entire midsection (front, sides, and back) while also addressing skin tightening and, when desired, fat transfer to enhance the breasts or buttocks.
How is it different from traditional liposuction?
Standard liposuction often targets just one area, like the lower abdomen. Lipo 360–3D takes a 360-degree approach to contour the entire waistline for a balanced, sculpted look. In addition, we pair liposuction with BodyTite®, the advanced skin-tightening technology.
Am I a good candidate?
If you’re near your goal weight but struggle with stubborn fat or loose skin, you may be a good candidate. Or, if you’re still on your weight-loss journey, Lipo 360–3D can provide visible motivation and improved proportions. A consultation at Chestnut Wellness ensures we choose the safest, most effective path for you.
What body areas can be treated?
The abdomen, flanks (love handles), and back are treated with liposuction. Depending on your goals, fat can also be transferred to the breasts or buttocks for added shape and volume.
What is BodyTite®?
BodyTite® is a minimally invasive technology that uses radio-frequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to melt fat and tighten skin.
It provides results previously only achievable through traditional excisional procedures.
Is fat transfer included?
Fat transfer is optional. Once fat is removed, it can be purified and re-injected to naturally enhance areas like the breasts or buttocks. This step is often chosen by patients who want more volume or shape in addition to slimming the waist.
How long is recovery?
Most patients return to light activity in 3–5 days and resume normal routines in 1–2 weeks. Swelling gradually improves over a few months as the body heals and final results settle in.
Will the fat come back?
Removed fat cells are gone permanently. However, remaining fat cells can still enlarge with weight gain. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle helps preserve your new contours.
We've found that the boost in confidence from the results has helped motivate patients to keep their newfound shape!
Is Lipo 360–3D permanent?
Yes, the fat cells removed are gone permanently. With a healthy lifestyle, your results can last for many years. Significant weight gain, however, may affect your contours.
Is Lipo 360–3D safe?
Yes. At Chestnut Wellness, procedures are physician-performed by Dr. Blatchford MD, FACS, a board-certified surgeon, with advanced technology and tailored to your individual needs.
Your consultation includes a review to ensure you’re a safe candidate.
How should I prepare for Lipo 360–3D?
Before your procedure, you’ll have a consultation and health review. You may be advised to stop smoking, avoid certain medications, and arrange for someone to drive you home. Following pre-op instructions helps ensure a smooth recovery.
How much weight can I lose with Lipo 360–3D?
Lipo 360–3D is not a weight-loss surgery. It’s best for body contouring and removing stubborn fat deposits that don’t respond to diet and exercise. Most patients lose inches, not pounds, but see a dramatic change in body shape.
